This is a design by Eric Cannizzaro. It is quite different from your “standard” Windsor chair, although the techniques used in building it are very similar. The seat is woven with Shaker tape, although a number of different seating options are available. I like how the crest rail is mirrored by the lower “crest” rail, and how the ends of the spindles are left proud of the crest rail, which mirrors the upper ends of the back post. It is a challenging chair to build - none of these parts are turned, they are all shaped with drawknife and spokeshave. The wood is all White Ash, which has been dyed with a Walnut aniline dye.
